About SBC
Transforming the Built Environment:
Since our inception in 2002, SBC has sought to educate, support and empower building professional and policy makers in Canada showcasing design and operational principles through our acclaimed Design Charrettes, the market leading Green Building Festival, and targeted communications through our extensive network of green building leaders. With the support of its members, SBC seeks to transform the building industry to achieve higher levels of environmental performance.

Sustainable Buildings Canada's (SBC) vision is to be the leading national agency and coordinating body for buildings and houses that:
Supports providers of training, technologies, programs, tools, and products
How? Through educational and training programs, product knowledge sessions, and best practice guides. And by providing a portal to access services and products of member organizations.
Partners with organizations to further sustainable building and operational practices
How? By increasing coherence among fragmented activities; developing an R&D framework; promoting existing tools, and fostering business opportunities between member organizations and individuals.
Links green commercial buildings and houses to green communities
How? By supporting programs such as those envisaged by Toronto Region Conservation Authority , EnerGuide for Houses and the Federation of Canadian Municipalities, to optimize the benefits of programs, services, products and educational opportunities.
